Senior Public Cloud Engineer

Taos is immediately hiring a Senior Public Cloud Engineer to work with a cutting-edge tech company in Redwood City, CA!
 
Who you are:
You are a senior engineer with extensive experience managing Public Cloud environments. You "make the news" by driving adoption and continuous improvement of Public Cloud best practices across internal teams. You are passionate about customer service and enabling developer efficiency to help the organization operate at its peak. You would thrive in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment where you can take ambiguous problems and create solutions.
 
What you’ll be doing:
  • Ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient usage of multiple major Public Cloud providers by working with both internal teams and Public Cloud Vendors
  • Evaluating and implementing Multi-Cloud Management products and software
  • Building additional capabilities and management services where needed
  • Working across the Engineering and Product organization to lay out product roadmaps
  • Enabling developers to onboard to Public Cloud efficiently and securely, providing support for issues
  • Ensuring Public Cloud platforms are stable and reliable by monitoring and managing their health and stability
 
What you’ll bring with you:
  • Hands-on working experience governing or managing at least one major Public Cloud provider such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, IBM Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
  • In-depth experience with a variety of Public Cloud features
  • Familiarity with industry landscape and trends, passionate about keeping up to date on new developments
  • Knowledge of large-scale Infrastructure and distributed systems
  • Strong coding and scripting abilities (Python, Perl, Java, Javascript, Shell scripting)
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining a production-quality software service/application
